Hunter Strategy

A Hunter can solo this demon.

Clearing all mobs up the Eastern side of the pools is required first in order to allow the Hunter to kite Arazzius clear of enemies and onto the road. Once on the road he can easily be kited to the Temple of Telhamat or Thrallmar. It is recommended that any Hunter attempting the kite have Hawk-eye (3/3) as Arrazius has certain ranged abilities that will cause daze in Aspect of the Cheetah, being able to operate at 41 yards means you can quickly outrange his spells and cause him to cancel cast and continue the chase.

He does, however, summon Infernals. These can be dealt with in a number of ways, simplest of which is to have another party member pull them away, thus removing them from the chase. For the solo Hunter there exists other options.

Method one being to make use of a Frost Trap (note: NOT a freezing trap, as two Infernals are often summoned). The difficulty in this method lies in the fact that Arazzius is not immune to CCing effects such as frost trap auras. As soon as the Infernals hit the aura, the Hunter must angle his run, so Arazzius angles his and runs clear of the Frost Trap aura. This method obviously depends on the level of the Hunter and any nearby mobs that may aggro during the angled running (which is sure to take the Hunter off the road).

Method two is, while somewhat more difficult to execute, far safer for those of a lower level. By assinging hotkeys to a pet's attack command, the Hunter can have his pet aggro the Infernals (and with Mend Pet being a HoT these days, the pet can easily be kept alive until the Infernals unsummon). The difficulty lies in, while continuing to actively kite Arazzius, switching targets constantly to have your pet attack and aggro both Infernals, one by one, and keeping Arazzius aggrod. The benefit of this method is that it allows the Hunter to remain on the road and thus avoid other potential aggroing mobs.
