Night of the Dragon is an upcoming novel by Richard Knaak, due about November 2008. It is a follow up to Day of the Dragon. It has the following known features;
- Deals with how Rhonin came to be leader of the Kirin Tor in Dalaran, as well as the beginning of the war with Malygos.
- Grim Batol will be featured.
- The novel takes place around 5 to 6 years after Day of the Dragon (or at least some of it, considering that 5-6 years isn't enough to place NotD in the World of Warcraft era.
- Deathwing may feature, although Knaak has no comment on what happened to Deathwing after Day of the Dragon.
- Whether the Old Gods feature in some form is unknown.
- Knaak hopes to include a draenei character.
- Knaak says that his choice of which dragons will be characters could be surprising to many, which could also possibly be enjoyable.
- A renegade male blood elf will be involved.
- Vereesa Windrunner will appear.
